I learned this by accident because I like to use "Funk/Soul" as a Genre, and noticed it kept separating all of my genres as "Funk", "Soul". However if you apply a Genre typing "Electronic/Rock" Plex will identify the album as both "Electronic" and "Rock". If you apply a Genre typing "Electronic, Rock" Plex will identify the album as a single Genre. For example let's say you have an album that's both Electronic and Rock. From what I gathered Genres need to be separated with a "/". ![]() It CAN identify multiple Genres, however it identifies them incorrectly. Genres: For some reason Plex has a real hard time identifying Genres. Plex will identify the full date and apply it automatically. However with MP3Tag you can put in a full date like. In regular metadata you can just apply the year, like 2021. For example Plex dates are Year-Month-Day. If you want your Album Art to be identified make sure to have the option Both Plex Music and Local Files enabled, or just use Local Files Only option if you don't want Plex to add any additional covers.ĭates: You can add full dates, and Plex will identify those dates.
